Through AKRC, she was involved in the CGRF-supported project <i>Historical Analysis of Lake Sturgeon in the Winnipeg River<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Megan\u2019s research examined historical efforts between AKRC and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources to establish a collaborative fisheries management system on Lake of the Woods to support a sustainable commercial freshwater fishery.\u00a0 Her thesis was entitled\u00a0<em>Understanding What Triggers, Enables, and Hinders Cross-Cultural Collaboration in Fisheries Management.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Megan is from Naotkamegwannig (Whitefish Bay) First Nation on Lake of the Woods in Treaty #3.<\/p>\n<p>You can read Megan&#8217;s research proposal here:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cgrf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Megan-Bob-Proposal.pdf\">Megan Bob Proposal<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prior to enrolling in grad school, Megan had worked as a fisheries biology technician with Anishinaabe of Kabapikotawangag Resource Council, one of two tribal councils representing First Nations communities around the north end of Lake of the Woods.
