Brigitte Savard joined the Common Ground Research Forum during the 2013-14 academic year. \u00a0With a background in anthropology, Brigitte\u2019s foray into natural resources management may seem a surprising twist in her academic career, but Brigitte sees significant linkages between the anthropological study of human identity, and how our practices affect the landscapes we manage. \u00a0Brigitte applied her anthropological lens to the study of the urban forest on Tunnel Island to devise a process for preparing an Urban Forest Management Plan for the Tunnel Island Common Ground forest.<\/p>\n
